Milestones
Okay, seriously, Lyric is in the absolute cutest stage ever!
She is babbling!
This morning she was sitting on my lap and would just look at me and Jon with the serious face and just babble away like she was talking. It is so stinkin' CUTE!
So I haven't listed her recent milestones, so here it is!
2 weeks ago, she has mastered standing on her own. She is really good at it and can stand there without holding on to anything for a really long time. She stands up at every chance and thinks she is so cool. She can even stand up almost without help. As long as there is something, a little raised for her to give a push off on. The other day, she stood up on her own with just a kids shoe box to help her.
This past weekend was a weekend of milestones.
Most importantly, she took her first steps this past Thursday!!!! We've only gotten her to take 2 at a time, but she's done it a few times. She takes one step, catches her balance and then brings the other foot, but the she falls. The good thing is now she'll walk around with me holding her fingers when before she didn't like it and would immediately arch her back so she could get to crawling. Now she thinks it's cool to walk around while holding onto your fingers. She can even walk with you just holding one hand.
She also started playing with her pretend phone. She'll hold it up to her ear and go "iiiii" (meaning hi). It's so precious! :)
Then when she wants more snacks, I say "Say more" and she says "ma" and then I give her more. I swear she is a genius! I don't care if it's normal at this age, I still think she is a genius! :)
She also walks between things really good. Like if she is walking along the couch and wants to transfer to like the ottoman, but it's a little far, she'll let go, take one step and grab on to the ottoman.
This age is just so much fun! She is doing something new almost every day and is interacting so much. I just love being a mom! It makes me want to have another one sooner than later so that she can have a sister. (please God let the next one be a girl!) I really want to have two girls really close in age, so hopefully God answers my prayer. Not that we are trying right now, don't get me wrong. But hopefully sometime early fall is what I'm hoping... but you never know!
Life is just so much up in the air right now, who knows what's going to be happening in the next year! It's kind of fun. I've gotten into this new phase where I'm ready to take on the next thing. It's going to be great! :)
