And then there was light
So we have light in the Vandeput household again.
Thankfull it cost us not one red cent. Well I take it back, Jon spent like $40 on crap from Home Depot trying to fix it, but thankfully he can return it all.
Anyways, Spence came over yesterday and gave us the great news that it wasn't an issue with the box!! Yeah! Something about needing 240 of something, but only getting 110. So ya. Jon calls the electric company, they come out, fix the problem, restoring electricity to my house, and even trim two trees and tightened the lines (which were sagging a bit). How awesome is that! Apparently it had something to do with the storm. So that is one financial crisis adverted!
It gets better. I get home basically just in time to throw my workout clothes on and jump in Court's van to go to the workout class with Abby and Courtney.
When I get back, all the laundry from the 10 loads that was in the kitchen was sorted and in the living room. How fun is that?
So I cook some dinner and then have to run to the petstore to get Jedi some more food. Then Lyric and I go to the bookstore to get my new book... seriously. That kid is hilarious. She loves books and loves to read them. She was just laughing and walking around like she owned the place. We got her these new Converse high top shoes that are so stinking cute.
So when I get home from the bookstore/petstore, half of the laundry is put up in the right place! I don't think my husband has done anything laundry related in the whole of our marriage. He said he just didn't want to hear me complain :)
So half the laundry is put up, so that's a start, right?!
Lyric is feeling much better. The medicine is really kicking in and she is in a much better mood. Almost back to herself. We got home a little late after the post-dinner errands and I still had to give her a bath, so it was 9:30 by the time we were finished and she was so tired, so I just quickly put her pj's on and put her in bed. 15 minutes later I realized, crap! I didn't give her her medicine! So I had to wake her back up, but thankfully she went back to sleep.
So today, I was suposed to be here early because Natalie is gone so I am covering for her all day. But I totally forgot and remembered right about the time I was suposed to be there! oops! :) So I was late this morning unfortunately.
Jon has really been helping out alot more recently. It's been so wonderful. I think he's just seen how tired I've been and he is really kicking in and taking up some slack. I am so grateful that I married a keeper! :)
Now if I can just get that house clean, my life will feel more at peace. I know it may sound silly, but it's hard for me to relax when I know there is so much to do. We just need to do a really good spring cleaning. The garage needs to be cleaned out. The closets. The pantry. The cabinets.... one of these days I'll get the energy. One of these days in the near future.
On a sad note (but happy for them) my sister and her family are leaving for an extended weekend and they are going down to San Antonio and going to Sea World and all of that fun stuff. They are going to have a blast and the girls are SOOOO excited! I wish I was going, but this will be there first family vacation, just them, so they need to go have fun as a family... but I just want to see the girl's reactions to Sea World, I know they are going to love it!!
Ok, well I'm starving and I need to figure out what I'm going to do for lunch.
Love to all!

That's great about the laundry. Kevin does the majority of the laundry and puts it away. It is such a blessing! I HATE LAUNDRY!!!!
