Did I do something bad?

So we started Lyric on new antibiotics on Monday night. I could have sworn the doctor told me that it was still the same dosage, 1/2 teaspoon (5ml). So I gave her that dosage. Then Jon called me yesterday morning and told me I was trying to poison our daughter because she only needed 2ml.
Oops! So I was hoping that it wasn't too bad. She didn't have any advserse reactions, so I figured we were ok.
Well Jon gives her the 2ml yesterday morning and then last night I looked at her medicine (what I thought was her medicine) and it sure enough said 2ml twice a day. So I gave her 2ml last night.
Well I didn't realize it till this morning that, that particular antibiotic was leftover antibiotic from December when she had that UTI. I had gotten it out on Monday night because I thought they were the same antibiotic and they were and I must have left it on the counter. But the difference is this one said to give it to her twice a day, but her current prescription said just once a day!
So basically Lyric has had double the dose of her antibiotic for 2 days in a row.
Is that really bad? Should I call her doctor?
I tried googling it to see if I'm like poisoning her or something, but I can't find anything helpful.
Anyone been in this situation before??? I feel like such an idiot because obviously I can't read a simple prescription.
Oh and the antibiotic was Omnicef.

As long as she is not having any adverse reactions she is probably fine. just give it to her correctly from now on, and call her dr just to be sure, but i'm sure they will tell you she is fine. I had patients do that all the time and the doc always told me they were fine.

antibiotics in general aren't the best, but if you take them you are "supposed" to take them as directed...when I was in CA and a DR at our conference prescribed me some antibiotics he KNEW I wouldn't take until gone, so he tripled my dosage every day for five days instead of take the normal for fifteen...I am alive...but babies have smaller bodies...call you DR just to be safe :) - Tiff I like that people can leave visible comments now...

You actually didn't double her dose completely yesterday. I checked the bottle (old one) and it's only 125 Ml instead of 250Ml with the new one. so you realistically just gave her a bit more.

jon and i thought we did the same thing awhile back but it turned out it was a double negative of stupidity. though had we doubled his antibotic like we thought we did, i would have called the doc just to be sure. the last thing you want to happen is for something to happen and you are left with the guilt of not having called the doc. mistakes happen, just call.

She's fine. People get mega-doses of antibiotics all the time. I wouldn't even consider this a mega-dose. Plus, one of the bottles was old, so it's lost a lot of its potency. So don't worry one more minute. Ok? Ok!!!
