Dallas Stars Won Again
Am I really that excited? Not really, but I love my home state of Texas and I love when my husband and rest of my family are excited, so I guess that makes me a border line Stars fan. I love how everyone becomes Stars fans when we are winning, but no one really follows when we lose. Good times. This is actually suposed to be a big deal as my sister explained to me. If we can get through the next round then we are going to the finals, where you get a Stanley Cup if you win. Sure! Whatever! I don't really care, but I always think it's cooler when Dallas gets more notariety, so GO STARS!
Well yesterday we spent the entire day at my parent's house. We went over there after church and then me, Court and Tiff sat outside and got a little sunburned (hey a little red is better than pasty white) while the guys played xbox and the kids played/napped.
Then we made dinner and everyone watched the Stars game.

Don't you wish you had a backyard like this to play in when you were little (this is my parent's backyard)
Ryan was being lazy/smart and used a golf club to hold down the pedal b/c Lyric can't reach.

i need to say that it was SOOO late when we finally drove to dallas after the Stars finally WON...and I-30 had shut down because of the hole in the trinity river bridge...so we took belt line and i told ryan not to speed because of the ticket to church that morning and then it goes from 45 to 35 and ryan is going 50 and we get pulled over on belt line and he gets ANOTHER ticket...it took every ounce of being open to God to not lose it...i DID say "you promised" in a not so nice tone...but then kept saying its ok dont be mad at yourself...cause he was TRYING not to speed...i was EXHAUSTED this morning and trying on30 million wedding dresses did not help! sommer and i went to dinner after...would have been nice with you there :) I love you!
and yesterday WAS so amazing...so relaxing and family just peaceful and God's loving presence...
We were going to come over but I was too tired. Looking at these pics I wish I would have come! Ryan's colf club idea is amazing...way to go man! I love your parents backyard. The Kids will have such great memories of it.
