Saying Goodbye To a Friend
How sad is this... I love Diet Coke! I really do! It's my breakfast in the morning, the thing that keeps me from dragging throughout the day... and yet, I have to say goodbye for the next few months.
Oh Diet Coke, why do you not only have to contain aspartain, but also 45.6 mg of caffine??
It just doesn't seem fair does it?
Studies have shown that pregnant women should not drink more than 150mg of caffine a day, but I'm limiting mine to just 50mg (just one measley drink)...
How am I going to get through the day now?
I'll miss you DC... you're my boo.

During pregnancy #1, I shunned all forms of medication, caffeine, etc.
During pregnancy #2, I eased up a bit and drank decaf.
During pregnancies #3 and #4, I remember - our parents drank coffee all the time with no ill effects. Coffee was back! No problems with the pregnancy.
But I still did choose to shun medications.

You crack me up! I'm sure this is hard for you...but I can't help but giggle a little. You can do it though...only 9 more months of withdrawl! How about, when this new BABY GIRL is born, I bring you a 6 pack of Diet Coke up to hospital to celebrate? :)

Abby
Sorry to hear about the loss of your "boo", I think I pee'd a little in my pants from laughter!! If you ever write a book I would like a copy, you are so funny!!
i felt the same loss, only mine was the cool expensive bottles of wine i would bring home from work for a fraction of the price. van duzer pinot noir... how i long for thee!
oh and ps-i'm pretty sure splenda is still bad for you. and your decaf selections should be swiss water treated, or something like that, otherwise decaf has a shit load of chemicals in it, hence how they got it decaf in the first place. just thought i'd rain on your possible parade. ;)
I wish you well! I can't have anything with aspartame, so diet coke is a big no-no for me anyway. But still allow yourself some chocolate now & then! : )
Steph
please don't let Splenda be bad!!! I drink so much of it.
