Round Ligament Pain
I just don't remember it that much from Lyric. I mean, I remember having it, but I don't remember if it was a constant pain.
From what I remember with Lyric it was just sharp pains and stretchings, maybe lasting for a few minutes at a time, but not for days.
I started having a pretty serious dull pain in my left side yesterday around lunch and it hasn't gone away. It gets worse when I walk obviously, but even when I'm sitting or laying down I feel the pain constantly.
Last night I was in a dead sleep and it woke me up. It was REALLY intense last night. I almost couldn't get out of bed to try to walk it out.
So anyways, I'm 99.9% sure this is just round ligament pain, but I would like some verbal reassurance, so mom's and other pregnant ladies, please reassure me. I get super paranoid really easy when it comes to pregnancy :)

Hi Destiny, my name is Desiree and I am a friend of Jessica Morrison. I love reading your blog! ;)
I just had my second 3 months ago and the round ligament pain was soooo much worse the second time around. Everything was worse! Thankfully I never had morning sickness though. Thank Jesus! Just wanted to let you know that I dont think you are paranoid. Plus, you "feel" everything more the second time around as its not as "new".
Thanks for the reassurance. My sister told me the same thing, that every ache and pain gets worse... fabulous.
Yes!! With each pregnancy the pain does get worse, you are more aware and feel everything more. I seriously thought that I was having a miscarriage the pain was so bad. Hang in there, rememeber that every ache and pain is all worth the end result. :) Keep your eye on the prize!!
Okay, I only have 1 child, but with the RL pain, it was awful for me. I even called the doctor when I had it about my 14th week and went in for an appt. I also thought that I was having a miscarriage.
I agree with the above poster. Keep your eye on the prize! It is all worth that end result. And even with having all those pains and hearing that it is worst the 2nd time, I still am thinking about another one. And soon, like with Lyric, you will forget about those aches and pains.
i would go ahead and assume the worst. ;)
no seriously, i have no idea what round ligament pain even is, or that it exists in pregnancy. thank-god. however, if you need clarity on shooting pain from the siatic nerve...I'm Your Girl.
im glad men don't have babies... sounds like it sucks!
I had the sciatic nerve pains the second time around...but so far as joints go, I was fine. I did however, develop chronic bladder infections, the same back pain I had with Garrett, and I had WAY more abdominal cramps!! My Mother proceeded to inform me that these pains apparently get worse each time you have another...why did she not tell me this BEFORE, I'm not sure, but there wasn't a thing I could do about it :( I know its not fun!! I never could figure out why I wasn't one of those really happy, easy-going pregnant ladies, cause all I'd ever wanted was to have a houseful of kids!! I DO however have relatively easy deliveries (Garrett's was, not Ethan's) and decided it was God's way of "making up" for all the torture I'd gone through!! All I can say, is the farther away from the pregnancy you get, you really do forget how awful it is...I would LOVE another :) Keep your chin up, and don't be afraid to let the Doc know how bad it is, sometimes they're holding out on helpful info if you don't dish...hope you get to feeling better!
