Weekend Wrap Up/ Breaking Dawn
Goodness my weekend went by in a blur! Even with having the extra day off it was quick, I don't even want to imagine how tired I would be if I had worked on Friday.
First off, let's talk about how awesome it is to have Fridays off now... you just have no clue! It's like... awesome! :) I would have never thought by just cutting down my work week 10 hours a week, how much it has totally changed my energy level. That and the fact that I no longer have evil 1st trimester symptoms.
Anyways, you've already heard about my crazy laundry intervention and surprise anniversary night as well as Korbin's birthday party... just those 2 events alone took up most of the weekend. But one thing I didn't mention is what took up the REST of my weekend... Breaking Dawn.
Can I tell you how sad I am now that I've read it? It was like I didn't want it to be over, but I couldn't put it down. I HAD to finish it last night because I knew I would be thinking about it all day today... and let me tell you, it was every bit the book I wanted it to be. It caught me totally by surprise. I mean, I was really surprised by the events that occurred on page 449. I really did not see that one coming, and I normally have picked up on all her twists so far... but that one I was reeling!
But now it's over... at least from Bella's perspective (from what I read on her website). Here is what she said in an interview:
Question: Are you going to make any other books in the series after Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun?
Stephenie: The series at book four, and Midnight Sun kind of like book one point five. Book four will pretty much, it will be the last time Bella would narrate *crowd whines*, but if I wanted to go forward. The stories couldn't go on forever. If they did - no, no, no, if they did it would get old. Bella and Edward would have the same problems in every book and they overcame it and then faced the exact same thing again, it would get really old. There comes a time when the story needs to end. There are other stories with other characters. I might go there, I might not. There are some other things I'll do first, so it wouldn't be, like, right away, but I do have outlines for five and six.
So at least that makes me feel better that it won't be the end of the series, like I previously thought.
In other Twilight News, Stephanie and her sister Michelle made it in the Fort Worth Star Telegram for their awesome costumes they made when attending the book release party. They looked awesome! They were dressed as "newborn" vampires. Here is the link.
So ya, good times reading that book all weekend. I started it Saturday evening around dinner time, then read for a few hours... unfortunately, like I've noted before, when I'm pregnant, reading for long periods of time gives me motion sickness. I don't realize how bad it is, till I stop reading. On Saturday night, after reading a good 3 hours or so, I puked so hard that I burst all the blood vessels around my eyes.
Then I decided to sleep in on Sunday, Jon took Lyric with him to Church, so I had the morning all to myself... so what else is a girl to do but read! So again, dry heaved into the toilet after a 3 hours reading session. I decided to give myself a break for the day, so Jon and I went over to my parent's and we ate lunch, then Jon and I went to see the new Mummy movie (which totally sucked by the way- and I like Mummy movies). Then after spending the evening hanging out, we went home and I finished the book last night around midnight.
I was sad, but happy at the same time.
So all in all, it was the most awesomest weekend! It was really busy and fast paced, but was filled with my favorite things- my husband- lots of lovin'- my daughter- friends- nieces/nephews- Mexican food- and READING! :)

you know who the girls are in the Star Telegram, right?
MIchelle used to come to 1829.
ya, Stephanie and I went to school together and her and Michelle came to our book club last week!
Woohoo for us getting in the paper! Too bad I look a little nuts...but I guess that was the point. It is going to be SO HARD to not talk about Breaking Dawn at the next meeting. Michelle and I are already disagreeing on whether or not we like some of the twists.
